Dr. Ralph Stanley
1927 - 2016
I was very sorry to hear about Ralph's passing. Although we've all been expecting it, the news is still a difficult pill to swallow. It is the end of an era and my thoughts go out to his wife, children and family and friends... and to all the Clinch Mountain Boys, those who travelled with him and helped to keep the 'Stanley Sound' alive.
The Stanley's music will I'm sure live on, but it'll never be quite the same. Ralph was truly one of a kind.
Rest In Peace, Ralph.
