How Far to Little Rock?

This page includes live dates from 1967-2016 which I've been able to find referenced in old Bluegrass Magazines, newspapers, and other sources. Dates for a substantial number of other shows remain unknown, particularly in the early years, but also possibly in the 2010's when internet listings began to overtake printed media.

Inevitably there will be errors & duplications in this dataset, which I've compiled over the last year or so. Notable missing gigs include for example, the later tours of Japan (eg. Osaka/Tokyo c1976), the 1980 bar gig in Ohio which resulted in a Charlie Sizemore getting into a fight, and the 1967 Brown County Jamboree shows. Any corrections / additions - please get in touch!

I've also included concerts which were listed as by Ralph Stanley II and the Clinch Mountain Boys / Nathan Stanley and the Clinch Mountain Boys. These will usually appear separately to the main Ralph Stanley section. Towards the end of Ralph's life some concerts were listed as "Nathan Stanley and the CMBs, with special guest Dr. Ralph Stanley". I've included these within the main Ralph Stanley section out of laziness on my part.

At the moment, the date selection only covers Ralph's "solo" period from 1967 onwards. There are a small number of Stanley Brothers dates included in the database, but until I've had time to research the 1946-66 period, the only way to display these is to use the 'Search for text' option with search text something like Stanley Bro.
