This 7" contains two tracks recorded by the Stanley's for Ray Davies in 1963 / 1964. Standin' In The Need Of Prayer seems to date from the Nov. 1964 session, while (There's A) Sunny Side Of Life seems to date from their Dec. 1963 radio sessions.
Standin' In The Need Of Prayer was also later reissued as part of the Various Artists' Wango EP-107 7" and the Little Old Country Church House CD. (There's A) Sunny Side Of Life also appears on the On The Air LP and It's Hymn Time, Vol. 1 CD as Happy Sunnyside Of Life.
