This 'Various Artists' compilation has three Stanley Brothers tracks from the 1964 Ray Davis sessions, and versions of several other songs, which they either wrote or recorded elsewhere.

If I Could Hear My Mother Pray Again and Hold Fast To The Right had previously been released on the Wango 1784 7" EP; and Shake Hands With Mother Again is the same version as on the Songs Of Mother And Home LP.

Hold Fast To The Right can also be found on It's Hymn Time, Vol. 1.

With nearly 70 minutes of 'Mother' related songs, I find this CD tends to get a bit tiresome, but like most of the Wango CD's it does have plenty of otherwise unobtainable cuts. Unfortunately it also duplicates some tracks with other Wango CD compilations too!
