Please rate this album:

This double live LP includes four tracks by Chubby Anthony and Big Timber, and looks like it was recorded 10th August 1979 at the Tennessee Mountain Bluegrass festival in Church Hill, Tn.[1]

As live albums go, it is recorded well and sounds like it may have been taped on multi-track and mixed in the studio, at least judging by the balance with crowd noise/applause.

  • Chubby Anthony: fiddle, lead guitar, lead vocal
  • Jim Fee: banjo, baritone vocal
  • Ronnie Pert: guitar
  • Bill Pruett: guitar, lead vocal

[1] The Bluegrass Cardinals mention the festival, and from the 1980 release date and the inclusion of their tribute to Lester Flatt, it must be from the 1979 festival... but Don Reno wasn't billed, so it's possible his set is taken from a different recording.
