(King EP-441) c1959
This 7" EP was the third of three releases, each of which consisted of four tracks from the Stanley's King debut LP, The Stanley Brothers And The Clinch Mountain Boys (aka King 615).
The EP comes housed in a card cover, with B&W print on front and rear. The colour front picture is printed on a separate piece of paper and stuck over the top.
Not all copies came with the picture sleeve cover, judging by the number of EPs for sale with generic bags... I don't have one with the picture sleeve, so the sleeve images are above are cobbled together from auction listings & a bit of photoshop...
All four tracks can now be found on The Early Starday/King Years, 1958-1961 4xCD box set.
For a detailed breakdown and background to the Stanley's sessions, check Gary B. Reid's The Music Of The Stanley Brothers book, pages 91-93 and 139.
