Curly Dan & Wilma Ann's third & final album for Old Homestead features Bill Napier on lead guitar & baritone vocal.

Featuring one of Curly & Wilma's sons, Ricky Dan, on banjo the LP is another fine effort with Vision Of John being probably the best track.

All of the tracks are original compositions, although Wilma Ann only has one co-credit with Curly Dan: Just To Hear You Say You-All, and two songs are by Sharon Rodgers.

Most of the tracks deal with longing for the southern rural life, with North On 23 being an answer song to their popular South On 23.

A couple of songs are below par: You're Another One Night Stand is pretty dreadful and vocally is also weak; and Sneedville, Tennessee sounds like a poor song pitch to Jimmy Martin.

Some of the banjo work also sounds a little out of place, with chromatic runs at odds with the otherwise rock-solid traditional 'grass, but for the most part it drives along the nicely.

Of the three albums, Bill Napier's guitar work on this one, sounds more integral to the overall band sound.
