This 7" was recorded at one of the sessions for the Mountain Song Favorites LP, which was also released around the same time as the single.

'Billboard' magazine reviewed the disc in their 16th Nov. 1959 edition, giving both sides 3-stars and describing Another Night as:- "The Brothers assisted by the Clinch Mountain Boys turn in a minor key blue grass effort with strong blues touches. A fine authentic sound here." and Highway Of Regret as:- "A happy, upbeat, hoedown sound is generated by the boys on this side. Should appeal to lovers of the authentic hill sound."

Another Night is a superb mournful song which was written by Hobo Jack Adkins. He was also the source for the Stanley's No School Bus In Heaven,^[1] and had released Another Night on the small 'Big A' label. Jack's version can be found on the Hobo Jack Adkins - 'Early Bluegrass' CD-R (British Archive Of Country Music BACM-CDD-432) 2013.

Highway Of Regret was written by Chubby Anthony.

Both sides of the 7" can now be found on The Early Starday/King Years, 1958-1961 4xCD box set.
