Please rate this album:

Details of this release have been pretty elusive... Originally released on cassette (miscredited on the cover to Sammy Adkin!), it has more recently been reissued on CD-R, as 'You're Still To Blame' by Sammy himself.

As with most of Ralph's side projects with CMB members, the album is a collection of re-recordings of old Stanley Brothers/Ralph Stanley material... and as Sammy only got to record two studio albums with Ralph, (I'll Answer The Call and Like Father, Like Son) having a third album, is a real treat.

PS: There are several youtube clips of Sammy Adkins and The Sandy Hook Mountain Boys... which are worth checking out. In particular, there is a splendid 2-set video from Jan. 1988:- https://youtu.be/NiQTpf9O9pU.

  • Ralph Stanley: banjo, vocals
  • Sammy Adkins: guitar, vocals
  • Junior Blankenship: lead guitar
  • Curly Ray Cline: fiddle
  • Jack Cooke: bass
  • Ernie Thacker: mandolin
