This CD-R is one of those 'deep' catalogue items for fans of the CMB's. Recorded in 2004 at Maggard Sound Inc and co-produced by Will Mullins and James Alan Shelton, it features four of the then-current line-up of the CMB's with James, Jack Cooke, John Rigsby and Todd Meade all lending a hand.

Mullins' is a talented vocalist with a smooth vocal style & on this CD-R plays some decent clawhammer / 3-finger banjo. I'd guess that a number of the songs are original compostions too, but I'm not sure.

He also later played as 'Lonesome Will Mullins and the Virgina Playboys' with a version of Spreeing Rambler appearing on the Various Artists CD 'Song Of The Mountains Vol. 1' (SOTM Records SOTM-0307) 2007.

Note that the track order on the CD Tray is different to that on the disc.

  • Will Mullins: banjo, lead vocal
  • James Alan Shelton: lead guitar
  • Jack Cooke: bass, baritone vocal
  • John Rigsby: mandolin, tenor vocal
  • Todd Meade: fiddle
  • Archie Mullins: rhythm guitar
  • Daniel Salyer: lead guitar, bass, baritone & bass vocal
  • Ray Lyall: mandolin
