This Japanese compilation contains the first eleven songs The Stanley Brothers recorded for Columbia. The remainder of the Columbia sides plus one unreleased cut, were included on Vol. 2. Both album's also came with a lyric sheet, and were sequenced in the order the songs were recorded.
More recently all the Columbia material can be found on The Complete Columbia Stanley Brothers CD.
