Released the year after Ralph's first CD compilation (Classic Bluegrass), one can only assume that the public were keen to buy more of Ralph's music on CD.
This compilation with 20 tracks and a running time of 48:41 minutes, includes mostly material from the early seventies, when Roy Lee Centers was with the band. Roy Lee being regarded by most fans as the closest singer Ralph has had to Carter. It's perhaps not unsurprising then that roughly 2/3rds of the songs are re-recordings of old Stanley Brothers numbers.
The album has some well thought out liner notes by Ralph Stanley biographer, John Wright.
There's no duplication of material with Classic Bluegrass, so together they make a fine introduction to the 'Stanley Sound'.
The front cover photo is the same as that used on the 1985 I Can Tell You The Time LP taken by Richard Boyd.
