This live album was recorded 23rd - 26th September 1999 at the 'Uncle Pen Days' festival in Bean Blossom.

Ralph and the CMB's are featured on Roy McMillan's Mountain Folk, which they had cut on Saturday Night and a couple of songs with Ralph and Jimmy Martin.

Former CMB's Larry Sparks also gives a fine rendition of Blue Virginia Blue, and Ernie Thacker performs Carter & Ralph's Sharecropper's Son.

For the advertised appearance of 'Ralph Stanley & Jimmy Martin - Singing Together Again On The Stage Saturday, September 25' Ralph was persuaded by Ralph II to suprise Jimmy Martin by wearing one of his hats...

Jimmy: "Did you ever see me speechless?"

  • Ralph Stanley: banjo, vocals
  • Jack Cooke: bass
  • James Price: fiddle
  • James Alan Shelton: lead guitar
  • Steve Sparkman: banjo
  • Ralph II Stanley: guitar, vocals
