This was the second 7" EP to be taken from the Stanley's Old Time Camp Meeting album. Curiously, the labels bear the title "Songs Of Sin"!

The cover for this EP is from the same photo as that used on the cover for the Sing The Songs They Like Best LP.

I'm Dying A Sinner's Death is credited to on the labels to Roy Acuff, but according to Gary Reid's book was written by Jack Anglin & subsequently bought by Roy Acuff. It had been recorded by Acuff in 1948^[1] and Pappy 'Gube' Beaver in 1947.^[2] There is also a 1944 Radio Transcription disc version by Charlie Monroe with Lester Flatt (& his future wife Gladys on vocals).^[3]

All four tracks can now be found on The King Years 1961-1965 4xCD box set.
