As with the earlier Japanese Stanley Brothers Vol. 1 and Vol. 2 compilations, this and the Rounder Vol. 1 LP contain all the material cut by The Stanley Brothers for Columbia.
Vol. 2 contains the last eleven tracks and is sequenced in the order they were recorded. The album comes with detailed liner notes by Gary B. Reid and Marian Leighton.
