(Primrose CD-500) 1998 / (Rebel REB-CD-1790) 2003
James' third 'solo' album was released originally on the Primrose label in 1998, and later remixed and reissued in 2003 on Rebel.
It is another all-instrumental affair, but this time backed by most of the Clinch Mountain Boys, and featuring a selection of tracks as a 'result of many requests for some good old time standards'.
Given the involvement of CMB's Steve Sparkman, James Alan Shelton and John Rigsby, the sound is more in the Stanley vein than his earlier solo albums.
Another one worth checking out!
Thanks to Todd Gracyk for the scans of the original Primrose release.
