This 36:14 min Gospel compilation consists mainly of tracks recorded between 1979 - 1985 by the Charlie Sizemore / Junior Blankenship line-up.
CD liner notes are by Jon Hartley Fox, elaborate on good this line-up was. No argument there, but it is odd then, that eight of the albums they recorded for Ralph have never been reissued on CD. You'd think there'd be enough interest to do a follow-up to the 1971-1973 box set....
As an introduction to Ralph's Gospel side, this compilation flows well and sounds great.
Curiously, the front cover artwork features a later photo from the 2000 While The Ages Roll On session, and the booklet also has a photo from the 1991 Pray From The Boys cover session. There is also one band shot, which looks like it was taken at the photo shoot for 1985's I Can Tell You The Time.
